2nd Year Running, Bluesfest Windsor Wins Best Local Music Festival Award

Tourism Windsor Essex Pelee Island announced the winners of the fourth edition of the Best of Windsor Essex Awards, based on public nominations, during a special ceremony held at St. Clair Centre For The Arts. The voting ran from February 4th through February 24th, 2019 with the goal of putting together the most comprehensive list of the “best things to see and do” in the region.
For the 2nd year in a row, Bluesfest Windsor was chosen by the public as the Best of Windsor Essex Local Music Festival.

Windsor Essex businesses received over 12,400 nominations, with 232 finalists across 46 awards. Voting categories included the best in: Arts & Entertainment, Attractions & Events, Drink, Food, Outdoor Adventure, Shopping, Stay, and Photo Op.

Windsor Star Readers Select Bluesfest Windsor – Favourite Local Music Festival

Best of #YQG, formerly known as Best of Windsor Essex gave Windsor Star readers a chance to name their favourite businesses in over a 100 categories. This year the award has a new name and some new categories to cover the many amazing businesses the YQG area has to offer. The year’s Best of #YQG survey featured over 140 categories. Voting closed on December 27th, 2018 with more than 1,200 readers participating. Bluesfest Windsor is honoured to be selected as winner of the best LOCAL FESTIVAL AND EVENT category and is grateful to all their fans for their support.

LIUNA Bluesfest Windsor Sponsors T2B’s Complimentary Patient Television Services

As LIUNA Bluesfest Windsor’s annual designated charity, Transition To Betterness has been able to launch their Complimentary Television Services program which provides complimentary television services to patients during their hospital stay.

Executive Director, Carol Petroni,(above) proudly shows off one of the in-room TV monitors that is now offered to patients at Windsor Regional Hospital’s Metropolitan Campus’ Oncology Unit and Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Tayfour Campus in the T2B Supportive Care Unit.

Complimentary television services allow patients and visitors to keep busy while staying at the hospital. Patients can enjoy movies, local programming, news and television shows on upgraded flat screen televisions without the worry of an extra expense to themselves.

Bluesfest Windsor’s 2018 Sponsorship Proceeds To Boost T2B Patient Programs

October 2018 Sponsorship raised for LIUNA Bluesfest Windsor’s 2018 event operations and production reached $650,000, propelling the annual festival to new highs and enabling organizers to host the region’s most successful outdoor music concert. President, Rob Petroni, on behalf of the Board of Directors and the numerous volunteers that drive the event’s success, announced that proceeds in support of the designated charity, Transition To Betterness, would result in a donation of $50,000 in support of the many programs they bring to the community.
